Biography
Timothy Omundson is a film and television actor most known for his supporting roles on the hour-long TV series "Judging Amy" and "Psych." Born on July 29, 1969, in St. Joseph, Missouri, Omundson made his television debut in 1992 with a cameo on the sitcom classic "Seinfeld," as Susan Ross's brother Ricky. The following year he appeared on four episodes of the family sci-fi series "SeaQuest 2032" as Dr. Joseph Levin, and his career was on its way. Through the 1990s, Omundson had recurring guest roles on the comedies "Fired Up" and "Jack & Jill," and began a string of six appearances on the cult action comedy "Xena: Warrior Princess," which took him into the next decade. In 2000, he landed his first regular part, as main supporting character Sean Potter on the hit CBS series "Judging Amy," where he appeared for 89 episodes over the first half of the 2000s. In 2004, Omundson played on the critically acclaimed HBO series "Deadwood," and then, in 2006, he earned an even more central role on the USA Network's quirky, comedy-detective series "Psych." Omundson's Carlton Lassiter is the Santa Barbara Police Department's chief detective, the skeptic keeping an eye on lead character Shawn Spencer's (James Roday) questionable detective-solving abilities. On the big screen, Omundson had supporting roles in the romantic comedy "Down With Love" in 2003, and the 2008 music biography "Crazy."
