Biography
A native of London, Oliver Maltman is a well-respected British actor that has appeared in dozens of notable films and television series. He got his start in the early 2000s, appearing in guest-starring roles on British television series, such as the crime drama "The Bill," the sitcom "The Estate Agents," and the mystery series "The Inspector Lynley Mysteries." By 2005 Maltman had made the leap into feature roles, appearing as a soldier in the 2005 horror film "Dominion: Prequel to the Exorcist." He followed that up by doing impressions of various British celebrities, such as the Academy Award-winning actor Anthony Hopkins, soccer star David Beckham, and former Beatles guitarist George Harrison, on the widely popular comedy series, "Star Stories." Maltman landed a small role in director Mike Leigh's 2008 comedic drama, "Happy-Go-Lucky," before returning to television acting on the British comedies, "No Heroics," "Clone," and "The Kevin Bishop Show," in which he once again played a multitude of characters. Maltman worked with director Mike Leigh once again in 2010 when he was cast in Leigh's Academy Award-winning drama, "Another Year." In 2011 Maltman had guest-starring roles on two television series: the sitcom "How Not to Live Your Life," and the period drama "World Without End."
