Biography
Lisa Thornhill's most frequent TV role has been that of Celeste Kane on the dramatic detective series "Veronica Mars." Thornhill's character, Celeste, first became involved with Veronica Mars (played by Kristen Bell) when she hired the Mars private detective agency to spy on her husband, Jake. She came to detest Veronica even more than she already did when the investigation revealed that her husband was indeed having an extramarital affair--with Veronica's mother. The flames of that enmity were further fanned when her own son Duncan reignited a romantic relationship with Veronica. As Celeste, Thornhill played the rich, conniving suburban woman to the hilt, doing everything she could think of to break up the young couple. Thornhill isn't always the unlikeable and manipulative witch, though; on the short-lived series "18 Wheels of Justice," a story about Justice Department agents trying to infiltrate organized crime, she played Agent Celia "Cie" Baxter, a sultry law enforcement officer.
