Biography
Giorgio Pasotti is an Italian actor and a practitioner of martial arts, which he has displayed in many of his movies. At the age of 13, he was already a black belt in karate and in the late 1980s he lived in China to study for a couple of months. He returned to the country a few years later, though this time he started working in motion pictures as well, specifically Hong Kong action films that highlighted his physicality and karate prowess. "Treasure Hunt," starring Chow Yun-Fat as a C.I.A. agent, was his first production and Pasotti can be seen in it playing an American monk with fighting skills. Later that same year, the actor had another small role in the Andy Lau historical action movie "Drunken Master Killer." He can also be seen in "Dragon Fury II," an American science fiction/martial arts movie filmed in Hong Kong. After returning to Italy, Pasotti landed major roles in a number of productions, such as "Little Teachers," an autobiographical coming-of-age tale set during the Fascist era; "Ecco fatto," a comedic love story; and the television thriller "La voce del sangue." In 2006, Pasotti co-starred alongside Neri Marcorè in the comedy miniseries "E poi c'è Filippo." The show was so successful that it later became a series, though without Pasotti.
