The 27 Hottest Actors of the 2013 Holiday Movie Season
The 27 Hottest Actors of the 2013 Holiday Movie Season
We give you the 27 hottest actors who will heat up the screen up this season.
Chris Hemsworth
If you're a Chris Hemsworth fan, you're in luck. Not only is the hunky Aussie in Ron Howard's racing movie Rush, but he'll return to the role that made him a household name - Marvel's Thor. Action, adventure and muscle-y arms abound in the latest installment of Marvel's Phase Two batch of films.

Tom Hiddleston
Earlier this summer, thousands of Comic-Con attendees bowed down before Loki as he took the stage in Hall H. Now Tom Hiddleston returns to the fan favorite role in Thor: The Dark World as he and movie brother Chris Hemsworth head off to try and save the day... and look good in the process.

Bradley Cooper
The former Sexiest Man Alive travels back to the '70s in David O. Russell's crime drama American Hustle. The film finds Cooper with a groovy perm as he portrays FBI agent Richie DiMaso. He'll team with a con man (Christian Bale) to bring down the Jersey mafia and a corrupt politician.

Christian Bale
Speaking of American Hustle, Bale may not look his best in the film, but the former Batman actor is in top form in David O. Russell's film. Playing a con man named Irving Rosenfeld, he teams with an FBI agent played by Bradley Cooper while scheming scams with his girlfriend Amy Adams. Now that's a triple dose of hotness!

Jeremy Renner
Taking a break from franchise roles (Marvel, Bourne), Jeremy Renner is the third male star in American Hustle. Renner plays mayor Carmine Polito in the film. The character is based on former New Jersey mayor and senator Angelo Errichetti, who was disgraced when he was indicted during Abscam, a major FBI operation targeting corrupt officials during the late '70s.

Idris Elba
He's consistently on "Sexiest Man Alive" lists and after canceling the apocalypse in this summer's Pacific Rim, Idris Elba portrays iconic civil rights and former South African president Nelson Mandela in Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom. The film chronicles Mandela's childhood and eventual rise to international icon.

Jason Statham
Need a tough-guy hero with a mean scowl in your film? Look no further than Jason Statham. This holiday season, he sets out to kick James Franco's butt in Homefront. Want more of the badass Brit? Check out our photo gallery which looks back on the actor's butt-kicking career thus far.

Orlando Bloom
If it feels like forever since Orlando Bloom has starred in a blockbuster movie, you're right. Aside from The Three Musketeers, Bloom has mainly dabbled in smaller, indie films since his Pirates of the Caribbean days. Thank goodness then that the baby-faced Brit re-teams with Peter Jackson for the second film in The Hobbit trilogy.

Josh Hutcherson
While the Kentucky native is currently filming the two-part finale of The Hunger Games franchise, fans can see Hutcherson on the big screen this Thanksgiving playing District 12 victor Peeta Mellark in Catching Fire. Let's face it, if you're gonna be trapped in a Quarter Quell with anyone, it may as well be Peeta.

Taye Diggs
Looking for a hot-Taye? Then you're going to want to check out The Best Man Holiday, the sequel to 1999's The Best Man. The film finds Diggs reuniting with Terrence Howard, Sanaa Lathan, Regina Hall, Tyrese and Morris Chestnut over the Christmas holidays. You might want to bring some mistletoe.

Josh Brolin
Josh Brolin has always been ruggedly handsome and this holiday season he brings that rugged charm to Spike Lee's remake of the cult classic, Oldboy. Will Brolin be able to do justice to the role that Min-sik Choi made famous in the Korean original? Get your tickets and find out when the remake arrives in theaters November 27.

Justin Timberlake
If you're going to try to shake off a film that didn't perform up to expectations (Runner Runner) then starring in a Coen Bros. movie is a great way to go. Timberlake plays Jim Berkey in Inside Llewyn Davis which enters the holidays with lots of buzz. Might the singer/actor cap the year with some awards?

Sam Claflin
Sam Claflin may be a new face to mainstream audiences (or at least the ones who didn't see the fourth Pirates of the Caribbean movie) but the Brit has been quietly adding indie films to his resume over the past few years. This November, he sets the big screen on fire as heart throb Finnick Odair in Catching Fire. Would you team up with him?

Leonardo DiCaprio
Despite all the rumors and date-shifting, Leonardo DiCaprio's latest film directed by Martin Scorsese looks to be on track for a Christmas Day release. The Wolf of Wall Street chronicles the rise and fall of a stockbroker who went from rags to riches and back to rags during the financial boom of the '90s. Awards buzz and Leo looking handsome await us this December.

Tyrese Gibson
He's conquered blockbuster franchises like Transformers and Fast and Furious and this holiday season, Tyrese returns to the ensemble cast of The Best Man Holiday along with fellow hotties Taye Diggs and Morris Chestnut. Happy holidays indeed!

Chad Michael Murray
If you caught the excellent Fruitvale Station earlier this year, then you likely caught a glimpse of former One Tree Hill star Chad Michael Murray as one of the police officers in the film. This December, he stars with Tyler Perry in A Madea Christmas in what will hopefully be a slam dunk for the brooding hottie in theaters.
2013 Getty Images.
Luke Evans
After antagonizing the heroes of Furious 6, Evans joins Peter Jackson's expanding cast for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. In the second Hobbit movie, Evans plays the heroic Bard the Bowman. Here's hoping he shoots an arrow through our hearts... well, not literally.

Mark Wahlberg
Actor/producer Wahlberg returns to theaters this holiday season in the harrowing true story war film Lone Survivor. Directed by Peter Berg, Wahlberg plays the title character, a Navy SEAL whose team gets ambushed while scouting for Taliban forces in Afghanistan. The film releases December 27 limited, wide January 10.

Benedict Cumberbatch
In the first Hobbit movie, Cumberbatch voiced The Necromancer. In this December's second installment, he not only voices The Necromancer, but the titular dragon Smaug as well. Cumberbatch starred earlier this year in the summer smash Star Trek Into Darkness and with his cult hit TV show Sherlock returning mid-January, you'll be seeing plenty of Mr. Cumberbatch this winter.

Liam Hemsworth
The third wheel in The Hunger Games trio that includes Katniss and Peeta, Hemsworth keeps pace with brother Chris with his own blockbuster franchise sequel - Catching Fire. The blue-eyed Aussie will look to woo Jennifer Lawrence in the sequel to one of 2012's biggest hits.
2013 Getty Images.
Zachary Levi
You probably best recognize Zachary Levi from his TV show Chuck. The actor has since gone on to star in a number of TV movies and miniseries. This November, he makes a return to theaters (he voiced Flynn in 2010's Disney feature Tangled) in Marvel's Thor: The Dark World playing Fandral, a charter member of The Warriors Three. He'll fight alongside Thor as dark forces start to cause trouble in the cosmos.

Douglas Booth
While Douglas Booth is currently filming Darren Aronofsky's Noah, you can see him as Romeo in the latest adaptation of the William Shakespeare tragedy, Romeo & Juliet. Starring opposite Hailee Steinfeld, Booth brings the charm and charisma of Romeo to a new generation of hopeless romantics.
2013 Getty Images.
Matthew McConaughey
Matthew McConaughey continues his career renaissance and breakaway from the rom-com genre for meatier roles. Well, perhaps "meatier" isn't the appropriate word to use for his role in Dallas Buyers Club, for which he shed a ton of weight to portray an AIDS victim who takes on the medical and pharmaceutical giants to try to find a cure. It's another stirring role for the Texan who wowed audiences earlier this year in Mud.
2013 Getty Images.
Morris Chestnut
Morris Chestnut makes it in thanks to a Twitter fan vote! Chestnut makes up the third member of The Best Man Holiday's trio of actors which include Taye Diggs and Tyrese Gibson. The Southern California native starred earlier this year in Kick-Ass 2 as Hit-Girl's adoptive father, Marcus.
2013 Getty Images.
Oscar Isaac
In the five years since he broke out in Che, Oscar Isaac has gone on to star in Robin Hood, Sucker Punch, Drive and Won't Back Down. This December, the Guatemalan actor plays the title role in the Coen brothers' musical drama Inside Llewyn Davis. The film has already won awards on the festival circuit and looks to be an major-award season contender.
2013 Getty Images.
James Franco
The man who never sleeps (he has 12 movies releasing between now and 2015) plays a meth dealer in the action flick Homefront opposite Jason Statham. Hopefully he didn't get kicked in his trademark grin.

Colin Farrell
Did you know Colin Farrell is in that Walt Disney/Mary Poppins movie Saving Mr. Banks? No? Well, he is and he plays Emma Thompson's father, Robert Goff Travers in the film. Yes, suspension of belief is needed to picture that, but you won't need to suspend anything to watch Farrell in the film when it arrives in theaters December 25.
