The 20 Hottest Actresses of the 2013 Holiday Movie Season
The 20 Hottest Actresses of the 2013 Holiday Movie Season
The weather may be cold outside, but let these 20 hot actresses warm things up for you inside the theater this holiday season.
Rachel McAdams
It's been quite a year for Rachel McAdams. When 2013 has come to a conclusion the Canadian actress will have worked with esteemed directors Terrence Malick, Brian De Palma and, with About Time, Richard Curtis. In the film, McAdams plays Mary, Domhnall Gleeson's object of affection in this time-traveling romantic drama. Let McAdams become the object of your (ticket purchasing) affection this November.

Amy Adams
Amy Adams co-stars with fellow hotties Bradley Cooper, Christian Bale and Jeremy Renner in David O. Russell's crime drama American Hustle this December. If you've see the trailers, you can't help but notice the plunging necklines on her various dresses. If you haven't, watch the trailer here. We get a double dose of Adams this year as she'll also be seen in the Spike Jonze romantic dramedy Her.

Elizabeth Olsen
As one of the emerging actors of young Hollywood, Elizabeth Olsen has starred in critically acclaimed indies like Martha Marcy May Marlene and Kill Your Darlings. She begins to make the jump to higher profile fare this holiday season with Spike Lee's remake of the Korean cult classic Oldboy and next year, she'll tangle with Godzilla. Here's hoping that pretty smile survives both movies.

Naomie Harris
As a Bond Girl, Naomie Harris is basically an automatic inclusion into this gallery. But rather than just coasting on her 007 franchise fame, Harris stars alongside fellow hottie Idris Elba in the upcoming Nelson Mandela biopic Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom where she'll play wife Winnie Mandela.

Cate Blanchett
Cate Blanchett has built a career filled with critically acclaimed films and blockbuster hits. You'll probably be seeing a lot of Blanchett this winter as she not only stars in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug but is earning award buzz for her performance in Woody Allen's Blue Jasmine.

Madison McKinley
Madison McKinley has been around for a while, often portraying bit roles in films and TV shows. This holiday season, she appears in the Martin Scorsese film The Wolf of Wall Street as Heidi. You may have also seen those piercing blue eyes in 2011's The Smurfs or on a recent run of All My Children. You can also see McKinley in the 2014 comedy The Other Woman, directed by Nick Cassavetes.

Carey Mulligan
We certainly got an eyeful of Carey Mulligan in the 2011 drama Shame and then the actress took some time off before returning to beguile us
(and Leo DiCaprio) as Daisy Buchanan in this summer's The Great Gatsby. We'll get to see Ms. Mulligan again in December as she stars in the Coen brothers' drama Inside Llewyn Davis.

Cobie Smulders
Movie fans know her as Agent Maria Hill from the Marvel blockbuster The Avengers. TV fans know her as Robin Scherbatsky on How I Met Your Mother. With the TV comedy coming to an end and a new Avengers movie still a couple years away, you might be wondering if we'll see the statuesque brunette again. The answer is yes and it's with Vince Vaughn in the comedy/remake The Delivery Man on November 22. This time the blue-eyed beauty takes on a juggernaut franchise in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, but Smulders is certainly worth the price of admission. Double feature, anyone?

Stephanie Leigh Schlund
If you're going to be killed in a Quarter Quell, death by Cashmere isn't such a bad way to go. Schlund plays the District 1 tribute in Catching Fire this November as one of the selections for the Quarter Quell. Hot doesn't even begin to describe the potential of a Cashmere and Katniss wrestling scene.

Olivia Wilde
Three years ago, Olivia Wilde burst onto the movie scene thanks to TRON: Legacy and her brief stint on then-hit TV show House M.D.. Since then, Wilde has racked up an impressive resume of blockbuster movies and indie hits to her credit and she'll add another film to her growing list this November. Wilde stars in Her, an indie film that is generating award buzz.

Felicity Jones
Felicity Jones is on the cusp of breaking into the next level of Hollywood fame. While her not-so-secret role in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 continues to be the topic of fanboy discussion, Jones broke hearts two years ago in Drake Doremus' Like Crazy and was equally good in the comedy Hysteria. Jones co-stars with Voldemort, er, Ralph Fiennes in The Invisible Woman, a film that could potentially be a dark horse awards contender and gives us an excuse to head out to theaters on Christmas Day.
2013 Getty Images.
Scarlett Johansson
The recently crowned Sexiest Woman Alive by Esquire magazine is back in theaters this holiday season although, unfortunately, we won't actually see her. Johansson voices a new computer operating system that Joaquin Phoenix's lonely writer character purchases. Think of it like J.A.R.V.I.S., only more seductive and sexier.
2013 Getty Images.
Natalie Portman
In between Thor movies, Natalie Portman got married and had a child. Now the Oscar-winner returns to theaters in the sequel Thor: The Dark World to reprise her role of Jane Foster. In the sequel, Jane gets transported to Asgard by Thor, a decision that could prove disastrous. Sometimes long distance relationships just don't work out, but if we could transport Jane Foster next to us, we'd take that risk.
2013 Getty Images.
Evangeline Lilly
Ah how we've missed Evangeline Lilly. It's been two years since we last saw the former LOST star turn up briefly in that robot movie we've since banished from memory, Real Steel. Thank goodness Peter Jackson gave her a call and asked her to join his Hobbit trilogy to play a (sexy) elf named Tauriel in the final two installments. Watch her shoot sexy arrows at un-sexy enemies in The Desolation of Smaug this December.
2013 Getty Images.
Jaimie Alexander
Things don't look good for Thor's first love, the lady warrior Sif. In Thor: The Dark World, Jaimie Alexander's Asgardian warrior gets mixed up in a love triangle when Thor transports Natalie Portman's Jane Foster to Asgard. Natalie Portman... Jaimie Alexander... if a freaking god can't decide which one he loves, how the heck are mere mortal like us supposed to decide? We'll take both, until Thor Odinson can come to a decision.
2013 Getty Images.
Zoe Saldana
As pretty much the poster girl for fanboy movies (Star Trek Into Darkness, Guardians of the Galaxy, etc.) you couldn't fault Zoe Saldana for wanting to take a break from all the sci-fi/superhero stuff to star in a gritty drama like Out of the Furnace. The film's director also earned praise for his previous film Crazy Heart, which bodes well for Furnace as we just can't get enough of Uhura/Gamora/Saldana.
2013 Getty Images.
Jennifer Lawrence
Jennifer Lawrence is in a movie this holiday season. Maybe you know of it? It opens over Thanksgiving weekend and will probably make a ton of money. In it, she's once again fighting to survive while watching a rebellion begin to come together in the various Districts of Panem. The movie is The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and if you haven't gotten your tickets, it's not too late. We get a double dose of J-Law as she co-stars in the crime drama American Hustle as well.
2013 Getty Images.
Kat Dennings
As far as sidekicks go, Kat Dennings is a pretty attractive choice. The 2 Broke Girls star returns in the Marvel sequel Thor: The Dark World on November 8 as Jane Foster's sidekick Darcy Lewis to shoot off one-liners, mispronounce "Mjolnir" and look absolutely stunning.
2013 Getty Images.
Kristen Bell
Perhaps the only thing that sucks about the upcoming Disney feature Frozen is that you'll never see Kristen Bell. Bell voices the lead character Anna, a member of the Royal family and sister to the film's villain, Elsa aka The Snow Queen. When Elsa plunges the local village into eternal winter it's up to Anna to undo the curse... not with Bell's hotness, but by employing the usual bag of Disney heroine tricks.
2013 Getty Images.
Jennifer Garner
Since Juno, it's been six long years of box office misfires for the former Alias star. Hopefully her supporting performance in the Matthew McConaughey-led Dallas Buyers Club rights the ship for the Texas native. We'd love to see Garner return to her butt-kicking spy roots one of these days, but for now, we'll have to suffice with her sexy doctor role in the awards contender out this November.
