Adam Sandler knows what he's talking about. In the electrifying new drama Uncut Gems, Sandler portrays Howard Ratner, a nervy New York City jeweler who is only too happy to tell visiting celebrity athlete Kevin Garnett all about a particular gem that is a shining star in Howard's tiny shop.
We get a sense of Howard's bravado in our exclusive clip. In town for an NBA game, Garnett has been convinced by a friend (Lakeith Stanfield) to stop by Howard's shop and pick out a pricey item. Wanting to impress the famed athlete, even though he is honor bound to use the gem to repay a huge debt, Howard can't resist drawing Garnett's rapt attention to the stone's arduous journey to Manhattan, leading to a shattering surprise.
Notable costar Julia Fox also appears in the clip, which you can watch below. Benny Safdie and Josh Safdie directed the film, which has been earning advance acclaim. Uncut Gems opens in theaters nationwide on December 25; get tickets now.
