Equals: Kristen Stewart and Nicholas Hoult star in Equals, a science fiction drama imagining a world "without greed, poverty, violence or emotion." That is, until a new disease arises, threatening the world with "love, depression, sensitivity and fear." The first official photos suggest a forbidding environment for their characters. Jake Gyllenhaal

Stronger: Jake Gyllenhaal is in early talks to star in Stronger, based on the true story of Jeff Burman, who survived the bombing at the Boston Marathon in 2013 but lost both his legs in the terrorist attack. Burman wrote a book on his experiences, coauthored with Bret Witter, and John Pollano has written the screenplay; David Gordon Green will direct. Gyllenhaal has not yet been offered the role, but is said to be "the favorite" among those considered. [Variety]

Looking for Alaska: Candidates for the lead roles in Looking for Alaska, based on a novel by John Green (The Fault in Our Stars, Paper Towns) have been expanded. Nicola Peltz (Transfomers: Age of Extinction) and Courtney Eaton (Mad Max: Fury Road) are the latest to test for the female lead, a "mysterious boarding school student," joining Anya Taylor-Joy and Imogen Waterhouse in the mix, while Charlie Rowe (TV's Red Band Society) and Mitchell Hope (TV's Descendants) are up for the male lead role. The 33 Trailer: Antonio Banderas stars in the true-life story The 33, which is based on an accident in Chile that trapped 33 miners far below the ground. The first trailer highlights the increasing dangers faced by the men as they struggle for survival.
