If someone asked you to spit out a list of actresses who you feel give Hollywood the most bang for their buck, something tells me Naomi Watts wouldn't be in your top 10. You'd probably wind up naming folks like Angelina Jolie or Megan Fox because you know their movies make a lot of money at the box office.
But that's not the case, as Forbes has just released their list of the top 10 most bankable Hollywood actresses, and, yup, Naomi Watts is number one in their eyes – mainly because her paychecks are relatively small ($5 million or less) when compared to people like Jolie, who earn well over $10 million per picture. Thus, according to Forbes, Watts – whose movies earned on average $44 for every one dollar she was paid – is currently the most profitable actress in Hollywood.
Strange, right? Of course the list itself used a weird convoluted system to figure out which stars were the most bankable, but it's still a fascinating way to look at which stars really are the most successful, and which ones simply hide behind glamorous magazine covers and stupid paparazzi photos. The rest of Forbes' top ten most bankable actresses are as follows: Jennifer Connelly, Rachel McAdams, Natalie Portman, Meryl Streep, Jennifer Aniston, Halle Berry, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway and Hilary Swank.
