Look, let's just admit that we live in a world that will eventually give us a Voltron vs. Transformers movie in IMAX 3D with sound so loud (and surround) that we'll be required to wear special headphones that will allow us to text our friends during the movie by using only our eyes.

But while we wait for technology to catch up to my uber-ridiculous predictions, The Hollywood Reporter tells us that Hollywood agency UTA is taking on Voltron and World Events Prods. (its U.S. rights-holder) with an eye on blanketing the pop culture world with tons upon tons of unnecessary Voltron references. Well, that, and they also want to see Voltron video games and toy deals, as well as an eventual live-action movie that, like Transformers, finds a way to incorporate "human-centric stories."

Voltron, of course, told the story of five human-piloted robot lions who could join together to become part of a giant robot warrior. One imagines an eventual movie would deal with the relationships between these five human pilots, some of whom may or may not have girlfriends as hot and feisty as Megan Fox. According to THR, UTA hopes to bring a writer onboard the Voltron movie soon so they can start shopping it around to studios who feel like sinking hundreds of millions of dollars into a film they hope will become the next Transformers.

What say you – does Voltron have what it takes to match up against Michael Bay's Transformers?
