If the latest rumors are true, Ryan Gosling can add one more thing he'll be known for to his résumé -- playing the Green Lantern.
According to the folks over at Latino Review, it looks like Warner Bros. will continue the welcome trend of casting talented, smart young actors in superhero roles by casting Gosling (Lars and the Real Girl, The Notebook) in the DC Comics role.
Green Lantern is a little beefier than Gosling, but surely he can hit the gym and load up on protein shakes, and he's a lot better a choice than the others rumored to be considered: Seth Green, Justin Long, and David Boreanaz. (Seth Green??) So while Gosling may not quite look the part (the face of the best-known Green Lantern character, Hal Jordan, was supposedly modeled after Paul Newman's visage), I bet he'd be great. What say you?
