Helen Mirren in Golda

We’ve seen Dame Helen Mirren play leaders of all sorts. This weekend, she takes on the formidable role of Israeli prime minister Golda Meir in Oscar-winning director Guy Nattiv’s thriller Golda.

Golda is set during the Yom Kippur War of 1973. In our exclusive scene, we join Meir at a crucial point at the beginning of the war. Attacks have begun earlier than anticipated, and the Cabinet is squabbling. Meir takes charge through example, setting the tone for Israel’s response. The reports from the field are interspersed with actual footage from the events.

Golda also stars Liev Schreiber as Henry Kissenger, along with Camille Cottin and Lior Ashkenazi.  You can get your tickets right here at Fandango.
