The biggest complaint about Mondo's collectible movie posters is that they are just too dang hard to actually buy. For starters, Mondo may announce what day a new poster is going on sale, but they won't tell you what time it'll pop up on the website. So you already have to get lucky on noticing when they go on sale. And even if you do get lucky, the posters are printed up in such small quantities they can sell out in an instant. If there are only 300 copies of a poster for sale, and you're person 301, too bad.
But hey, that's why they're collectible. If they were mass produced on cheap, glossy paper and sold at Hot Topic, they wouldn't exactly be boutique, collectible posters, now would they?
Every now and then, however, Mondo does a theoretically unlimited open edition. Basically the way it works is they announce a sale window, and as long as you place your order in that window, you are guaranteed to get the poster. It doesn't matter if you're buyer 301 or buyer 3,001. And thankfully they're doing that for the awesome Mad Max: Fury Road poster you see above (by Ken Taylor), plus the two below (by Mike Mitchell).
All three will be on sale from 12:00 a.m. CST August 11 to 11:59 PM CST August 13 at Mondo's site [via BMD]. Buy between that window, and you'll be riding eternal, shiny and chrome.
And if these posters don't scratch your apocalyptic itch, we still highly, highly recommend Titan Books' The Art of Mad Max: Fury Road. Also the movie is now available to watch on Digital HD, three weeks before it arrives on DVD and Blu-ray.
