Goosebumps movie

Your parents move you to a new town. You meet a nerdy kid at school who becomes your new best friend. Then you meet the cute girl next door. And then one night you think she's in trouble, so you break into her house and accidentally open an original Goosebumps manuscript that erupts before your very eyes, summoning the Abominable Snowman of Pasadena into the living room. We've all been there.

Okay, maybe not that last part. But that is the plot of the first big-screen Goosebumps movie. It stars Dylan Minnette (Let Me In) as the new kid in town, Odeya Rush (The Giver) as the girl next door, and Jack Black (Kung Fu Panda) as her uncle, who just so happens to be R.L. Stine. He's trying to live in quiet, simple retirement, until the new kid barges in and accidentally discovers that if you open an original Goosebumps book, the monsters inside it come to life.

And if you accidentally open a whole bunch of Goosebumps books, well, then you're going to have lawn gnomes and werewolves and a giant praying mantis attacking your high school. Check it out.

Goosebumps hits theaters on October 16, 2015.
