Trumbo tells the story of Dalton Trumbo, one of Hollywood's brightest writers during its darkest era. Along with nine others, Dalton was part of the Hollywood 10, a group of producers, directors and screenwriters who were blacklisted due to their presumed political beliefs. During a career that spanned five decades, Trumbo wrote some of the most memorable films, including Spartacus and Oscar winners The Brave One and Roman Holiday, which he wrote under pseudonyms due to his blacklisted status.

In the film, Bryan Cranston plays the titular role alongside a stellar cast that includes Diane Lane, John Goodman, Elle Fanning, Louis C.K. and Helen Mirren.

Trumbo is in theaters November 6.
