When his mother, Lisa (Caroline Goodall), gets a work assignment to develop a golf resort in Africa, 11-year-old Jimmy Westwood (Johann Harmse) is uprooted and moved halfway across the world. There Jimmy meets Charita (Ketrice Maitisa), a poor African girl, and a talking white giraffe named Seraf. Seraf tells him that it's his destiny to prevent conflict between two tribes that are disputing the land intended for the resort. Together, Jimmy and Charita struggle to avoid a potential war.
