Thangalaan lives a happy life with his family, cultivating his small plot of land in Veppur village, North-Arcot District. Then his village’s Zamindhar conspires to take-away the land of Thangalan and turns his family into Banded Labour and Zamindhar is succeeded in it. At that time, an Englishman named Clement came looking for the people of Veppur who already had previous experience in mining gold in the region of Kolar for many kings from time-immemorial. Thangalaan along with his few of his village men goes with Clement to Kolar to save his family from banded labour, as well as to secure his land back from the Zamindhar. He already knew about the gold-deposited Kolar area, which is so wild and mystic in many ways, he had heard many tales from his ancestors about a Naga Chief Aarathi, who is immortal, never dies, supposedly guardians the gold-deposited land from the people of greedy.
