We've all been there. You're waiting in anticipation for your impending date and then, out of nowhere, bam! It gets crazy - and not the good crazy. They talk too much, eat like an ogre, they don't look anything like their picture, and the list goes on. Take a look at our favorite bad date moments in film.

Reuben tries his best to play it cool when Polly suggests Moroccan food, even though he knows spicy food is his nemesis.  You can imagine what happens next.  Awkward bodily noises, trips to the bathroom where a toilet overflows.  In reality, you'd never get a return phone call.

Marge Gunderson ended up in a precarious situation when she showed up to what she thought was a friendly dinner with old schoolmate Mike Yanagita.  She had to break it to him that she was married and pregnant.  He spent the next little while crying about how lonely he was.  Turns out, Mike was suffering from some psychiatric problems.

Poor dorky Ted was so excited about his date with Mary, to the prom, no less.  But when he had an incident with his zipper, well, he was headed to the emergency room, instead of the school dance.

Jim and Lauren go on a date and it turns out to be a pretty bad one. They think they've put it behind them when they run into each other (with their respective families) at a resort.  But somehow it seems the more time they have together, the more they like each other.

You know that scene where Hitch accidentally kicks Sara off her jet ski, then eats shellfish and has an allergic reaction causing his face to swell up like a blowfish.  Only in Hollywood would you get a second chance after that disaster of a date.
