#10 - Conan the Barbarian
Following the trend of Terminator 4 and other "Ah-nuld" remakes and re-imaginings that not many went to see, Conan failed to strike a blow at the fall box office. Not that new star Jason Momoa didn't do his darndest to strike a gnarly pose.
#9 - Your Highness
Let's see. Danny McBride. James Franco. And a stoner comedy set in medieval times. How could that miss? In retrospect, maybe those involved with the pitch session should have called for a "do-over." While Natalie Portman looks lovely in her chain maille swim attire, the rest of this thing...well...yeah...
#8 - Green Lantern
Another surefire bet for summer boffo box office was up-and-coming superhero star Ryan Reynolds in Green Lantern. The thing is, there needs to be a good story. Not just a bunch of whack-looking aliens and overly-CGI'd special effects.
#7 - Beastly
Oh, modern romance...the star-crossed lovers at the heart of this contemporary Beauty and the Beast couldn't be more cure or fetching. Or maybe they could be.
#6 - Red Riding Hood
In theory, the trailers for Red Riding Hood previewed a new, dark, enthralling version of the timeless tale. In reality, the finished product seemed just a little bit (or a lot) silly.
#5 - Mars Needs Moms
According to our voters, Mars didn't need moms...at all. In the weeks leading up to it, interest in this out-of-this-world adventure were entirely earthbound, and upon release, ended up digging this one a nice little hole.
#4 - Shark Night 3D
Bikinis! Babes! Sharks! And it's on a lake! High concept to be sure. High profits...eh...
#3 - Cowboys and Aliens
It stars Harrison Ford and Daniel Craig, and it's from Iron Man director Jon Favreau. So what happened? Well, we're not sure these gruff tough guys really appeal to fans of modern day smart @ss heros like Robert Downey Jr. And really, it's about cowboys and aliens...and?
Remember this hilarious comedy about a midwestern naif bucking to be the industry's next top porn star? No one else does, either. Or at least, they don't remember it being hilarious.
#1 - Sucker Punch
And topping our voters' list for the top movie turkey award for 2011 is Zack Snyder's overblown and under-realized Sucker Punch (an apt title for all those who entered into theaters and endured it).
