Ho, ho, ho! As vividly portrayed by David Harbour, Santa Claus delivers more than presents in the comedy thriller Violent Night, in which he must save a family from evil John Leguizamo and his vicious criminal allies.
The title doesn't give it away. Spoiler Alert stars Jim Parsons and Ben Aldridge as a romantic couple who must deal with a life-threatening illness. Sally Field also stars as a loving mother in the comedy/drama.
Director Steven Spielberg gets personal in The Fabelmans, a fabulous film about a family that slowly fractures. Michelle Williams and Paul Dano star as loving parents who approach life from two strikingly different perspectives; Gabriel LaBelle gives a breakout performance as their son, an aspiring filmmaker, inspired by Spielberg's own youth.
Who wants to join the Marines? In The Inspection, Jeremy Pope stars as a young gay Black man who decides to join the military after his mother (Gabrielle Union) rejects him, only to be surprised by how the Marines mold him into a better man.
Love will always find a way. Bones and All stars Taylor Russell and Timothee Chalamet as desperate people who meet on the fringes of society and fall in love. Then they meet the wily Sully (Mark Rylance), who promises them a better future. But can he be trusted?
A searing indictment of a system that rewards bad behavior, She Said stars Carey Mulligan and Zoe Kazan as investigative reporters who are determined to expose the sexual abuse perpetrated by a Hollywood producer over many years. The galvanizing drama also stars Patricia Clarkson, Jennifer Ehle, Samantha Morton and Ashley Judd.
