Want to know what’s coming soon to digital and what to watch right now on Vudu? Here is your weekly guide to the latest releases:
What are the latest new releases to watch right now?
No Time to Die, the 25th installment of the James Bond franchise, is now available on Vudu as a Home Premiere rental. The action-packed spy thriller marks the end of an era as Daniel Craig says goodbye to the role he’s inhabited for the last 15 years with a surprisingly emotional send-off. The plot this time concerns a maniacal terrorist, played by Oscar-winner Rami Malek (Bohemian Rhapsody), who plans to unleash a deadly virus upon the world.
Craig has never been better as Bond, and he’s joined by a couple of unforgettable additions to the franchise: Lashana Lynch (Captain Marvel) is Nomi, a no-nonsense rival 00 agent at MI6; and Ana de Armas (Knives Out) has a scene-stealing sequence as Paloma, a bubbly but capable novice spy. Plus, Jeffrey Wright returns as CIA agent and Bond bro Felix Leiter, rounding out the character dynamics for James in this 007’s closing chapter.
While you’re watching No Time to Die this week, be sure to also check out Vudu’s digital gift cards tied to the movie, available only for a limited time. Each features a different character from the latest 007 installment: James Bond (Daniel Craig), Madeleine (Léa Seydoux), Lyutsifer Safin (Rami Malek), Nomi (Lashana Lynch), Q (Ben Whishaw), Moneypenny (Naomie Harris), M (Ralph Fiennes) and Paloma (Ana de Armas). Collect all eight!
What movies are great to pair with that new release?
The obvious answer to what you should pair with No Time to Die is more James Bond movies, and you’re in luck because Vudu has a sale on the whole franchise. You can get pick up various individual installments a la carte — the single George Lazenby title, On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, has a great significance to the new movie, by the way — or you can purchase bundled sets. Let No Time to Die top off the four-movie Daniel Craig collection, for example, or have it complete the set compiling the other 24 films.
Are there any other franchises on sale this week?
In addition to all of the James Bond movies being on sale, Vudu also has a sale on the entire Wizarding World film franchise. In honor of this month being the 20th anniversary of the first movie, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, all eight Harry Potter movies and both installments (so far) of the Fantastic Beasts prequel spin-off series are individually available at discounted prices.
Or, you can pick up the Harry Potter collection in one big bundle or all 10 Wizarding World titles together in an even bigger bundle. And don’t overlook the special Magical Movie Mode edition of the anniversary title, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, which features all sorts of additional fun extras for fans. And if you’re just looking to celebrate that inaugural installment for now, there’s a bundle compiling the original and Magical Movie Mode versions.
Need another franchise to collect? Vudu also has a sale on the Rocky movies this week. That’s the Best Picture-winning original from 1976 along with Rocky II, Rocky III, Rocky IV, Rocky V and Rocky Balboa. Of course, you can also grab all six movies together with the Rocky Heavyweight Collection bundle. And believe me when I tell you that you’re going to want to get excited about Sylvester Stallone’s iconic boxing character this week.
What classic movie is making a comeback this week?
Now that you’re all excited about watching the Rocky movies, here’s one that you’ll be able to watch in an all-new form this week: Rocky IV: Rocky vs. Drago - The Ultimate Director’s Cut is screening one night only this Thursday, November 11, and then will be available on digital the next day. Filmmaker and star Sylvester Stallone worked on this edit himself, and he promises the fight scenes are even more intense than they were back in 1985. Throughout this special version, fans also get to enjoy 40 minutes of never-before-seen footage.
What other big movie is coming out this week?
Marvel’s tremendously satisfying standalone feature Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings comes to Vudu this Friday, November 12, to own digitally (for just $20!). Simu Liu stars as the titular superhero, a master of martial arts who is tasked with fighting his own father (Hong Kong cinema icon Tony Leung) in order to save the world from demons from another dimension.
Awkwafina (The Farewell) provides comic relief and a lot of heart as Shang-Chi’s pal, Katy, while Michelle Yeoh displays graceful action skills reminiscent of her work in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. And if that’s somehow not enough for you, after watching Shang-Chi, you can immediately go and see the next installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Eternals, on the big screen.
What are some great movies about veterans to buy this week?
In honor of Veteran’s Day, which is held this week on Thursday, November 11, Vudu has a sale on movies suited for the occasion priced at just $4.99 each. Some of the titles cover various wars throughout American history, with Steven Spielberg’s Lincoln and War Horse set during the Civil War and World War I, respectively. Others, such as Ridley Scott’s G.I. Jane and Tony Scott’s Crimson Tide, are about fictional events unrelated to wartime.
You should check out Spike Lee’s Miracle at St. Anna, which offers an essential point of view on World War II from the Black experience. And Tigerland and Good Morning Vietnam, which recognize different takes on the Vietnam War. I also recommend the 1996 Edward Zwick movie Courage Under Fire, starring Denzel Washington, Meg Ryan and a young Matt Damon and featuring a story set during the Gulf War told through different perspectives.

The feature-length gangster drama stars Michael Gandolfini as Tony Soprano, the iconic role his late father (James Gandolfini) originated on television, plus Alessandro Nivola as the famed character Dickie Moltisanti who “made” Tony the man we watched over many seasons on HBO through the early 2000s.
