There's no quicker way to putting a box office dud behind you than quickly moving on to your next project.

Deadline reports that Johnny Depp is in final discussions to reprise his Mad Hatter role in Alice in Wonderland 2. Additionally, Depp also has a new multiyear first-look deal with Disney to develop film projects he wishes to produce there.

The first Alice in Wonderland banked over $1 billion worldwide and Disney set in motion a sequel to the film last year. Muppets director James Bobin will direct the sequel, stepping in for Tim Burton.

Depp will also be reprising his role as Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean 5 which is due in theaters for summer 2015.

Are you looking forward to a second Wonderland movie? With consecutive subpar box office performances (Dark Shadows, The Rum Diary, The Lone Ranger) is Depp still a major draw? Let us know what you think in the comments section.
