Movie theaters are forever growing more creative when it comes to enticing their guests on and off the screen, even if it means bringing the action to the lobby and hallways as a new kind of preshow entertainment. As a promotion for Kingsman: The Secret Service, U.K.-based Vue Cinemas (which is getting the comic book adaptation exclusively next week before anyone else) surprised some patrons at one of its locations with a "free Kingsman upgrade" that seemed to merely entail a stylishly suited chap escorting them to the auditorium.

But on their way, they encountered some soldiers running towards them, and the fun began. Their escort called for some backup, and from there the chase was on as the moviegoers were whisked through back rooms and passageways and even a theater seemingly mid-show (hopefully they didn't really interrupt anyone else's movie), once in a while having to pause as their protectors fought off the camo-costumed bad guys.

Watch it all go down below...

The customers taking part probably got a little sweatier than they expected when they went out for a night at the movies, but for the most part this looks like a positive way of mixing a participatory stage element to this passive pastime.

Could it work on a regular basis, though? And could it work with any other kinds of movies? The first thing we thought of was how Fifty Shades of Grey could do something tantalizing with the concept, but that would also have to be a special sort of experience requiring IDs to be shown at the door.
