Michael Shannon stars in the first official trailer for the crime drama The Iceman. Based on the true story of Richard Kuklinski who, between 1964-1986, killed over 100 people for East Coast crime families, Shannon walks a fine line between loving husband and devoted father and a remorseless contract killer. Teaming up with an ice cream truck driver, played by Chris Evans, to keep the bodies frozen, he earns the nickname, The Iceman.

The film co-stars Winona Ryder, Ray Liotta, James Franco and David Schwimmer and will be making the rounds at Venice, Toronto and Telluride film festivals over the next few weeks.

There's no domestic release date attached to the film, but we can expect it to either arrive later this year or early 2013, depending on the buzz the film generates coming out of the festivals.
