February is the shortest month, but there was no shortage of hot new trailers! The video above counts down the top trailers released last month based on views from MOVIECLIPS Trailers. With nearly 12 million subscribers, the YouTube channel is the #1 destination for moviegoers to watch the latest and greatest trailers.
February kicked off with the Super Bowl, during which several TV spots and trailers aired including two of our top performers: Mission: Impossible – Fallout and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. (On that note, you can watch all of the Super Bowl movie trailers here.) But it was a couple superhero previews that released the following week that topped our list. First, the teaser for Sony’s Venom, starring Tom Hardy, with a whopping 2 million views. Second, another clever teaser for Fox’s Untitled Deadpool Sequel (yes, that’s the official title) with 1.4 million views. It’s all about the spandex, folks.
Among the top 10 trailers in February, over half were debut promotions. Uncle Drew, who is played by Kyrie Irving and based on popular Pepsi Max ads of all things, was a surprise in every respect. The Amy Schumer led female-body-image-comedy I Feel Pretty also made a strong entry with over a million views. Here’s the full list for your consideration:
