Not to be outdone by his brother Ridley, whom Deadline revealed this morning would be returning to make another Blade Runner movie, Tony Scott is in talks to reboot two classic movies. Yes, it appears nothing is truly sacred anymore as Tony is currently in talks to reboot Sam Peckinpah’s classic 1969 Western The Wild Bunch.

The original Wild Bunch starred William Holden, Ernest Borgnine and Warren Oates, among others, as a group of aging outlaws looking for one last big score as the “traditional” American West is disappearing around them. The movie received two Oscar nominations and made AFI’s Top 100 movies list coming in at #80.

Tony doesn’t seem to be content with just one reboot. He’s reportedly “highly motivated” to “re-invent” his Oscar-winning (for Best Music) 1986 action flick Top Gun.

Scott is currently shooting Hell’s Angels (thankfully not a remake of the 1930 Howard Hughes film or the 1967 movie starring Jack Nicholson). Scott’s version of Hell’s Angels tells the story behind how the infamous motorcycle gang came to be and is slated to hit theaters in 2013.

As of right now, there’s no release date targeted for either one of the proposed reboots and no names have been attached, but it certainly wouldn’t be a surprise if Denzel Washington’s name cropped up on one of those cast lists. In 2009, Scott remade the 1974 heist film Taking of Pelham 123 with Denzel in the lead role.

What do you think? Are you up for a couple of classic movies to be rebooted by Tony Scott or do we need to draw a line and say enough is enough?
