Here are a bunch of little bites to satisfy your hunger for movie culture:
Alternate Casting of the Day
The release of Hobbs & Shaw reminds us that Dwayne Johnson has helped save a number of movie franchises, including Fast & Furious. Which ones did he not join and what roles did he not wind up in? IMDb looks at the movies that could have starred the wrestler-turned-actor, including Jack Reacher and Transformers:
Fan Art of the Day
One of the most memorable parts of Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, as seen in the trailers for the movie, is Idris Elba’s character’s declaration that he’s “Black Superman.” He doesn’t literally mean the DC superhero, but that didn’t stop artist BossLogic from rendering him as the comic book icon:

VFX Breakdown of the Day
Avengers: Endgame is heading to home video soon, but for now it is still racking up record-breaking dough in theaters, and we’ve still got lots to learn about the worldwide box office champ. Fan-Made Deleted Scene of the Day
Avengers: Endgame crushed fans with the death of Black Widow, but fortunately she’s got a solo movie on the way in spite of her eventual fate, albeit in prequel form. But what if she actually survived the Avengers sequel, off screen? DrMachakil created a made-up deleted scene showing how it could have happened:
Alternate Ending of the Day
Speaking of alternate scenes, fans are left with a lot of questions at the end of Spider-Man: Far From Home, especially regarding what’s going on in that Nick Fury post-credits bit. Well, here are some animated alternate scenes from CartoonHooligans, including one that teases what fans want that ending to mean:
DIY Fan Build of the Day
Spider-Man is always a popular costume at Halloween and fan conventions, but what if you’re unable to afford the full suit and the mask? You could be an unmasked Spidey or you can follow the latest tutorial from Cardboard Cosplay inspired by Far From Home showing how to make your own cheap and easy mask:
Cosplay of the Day:
There are so many great new characters in Toy Story 4, including Gabby Gabby. The villain from the animated feature is already a fan favorite for cosplay, too. Here’s one woman who not only got all dolled up as the character but also pretty much shows us what a live-action remake of the sequel could look like:

Actor in the Spotlight
As if The Lion King needs the extra help, Billy Eichner is out there helping to promote the Disney movie with help from Vanity Fair. The comedic actor, who voices the role of Timon in the new live-action-style reimagining, breaks down his movie and TV career, including What Happened in Vegas and The Angry Birds Movie:
Easter Eggs of the Day
Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark opens this weekend, finally giving fans of the classic horror book series a cinematic representation of their literary-fueled nightmares. While we wait a few more days for the release of the adaptation, here’s Zac Morris with a guide to everything you may have missed in the movie’s first teaser trailer:
Movie Trivia of the Day
Another movie out this week is the live-action adaptation of Dora the Explorer, titled Dora and the Lost City of Gold. To get fans hyped for that one, Nickelodeon presents a video guide to everything you need to know about the new release — though some of the trivia may seem a little less than essential knowledge:
