Here are a bunch of little bites to satisfy your hunger for movie culture:
Movie Franchise Recap of the Day
This week sees the theatrical release of Angel Has Fallen, the third installment of the Gerard Butler-led series of movies that began with Olympus Has Fallen and continued with London Has Fallen. Need a refresher on what has happened in the series so far? Here’s a plot recap from Roadshow Films:
Actor in the Spotlight
Have you ever noticed how Brad Pitt is always eating in his movies? In honor of the celery stick munched on and the mac and cheese made in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, here’s a new updated supercut from IMDb showcasing the actor’s tendency to eat and drink on screen:
Movie Character Ranking of the Day
The new adaptation of the Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark books features a number of creatures familiar to fans of the literary series, and most of them look just like they did on the page. But did they all satisfy fans in motion in three dimensions? Here’s a video from Watch Mojo ranking all the monsters from the movie:
Fan Art of the Day
Everyone has their own favorite character from Toy Story 4, whether it’s one of the original gang of Andy’s toys or the returning Bo Peep or new additions like Forky and the villainous Bensons. Here are two pieces of fan art by the artist known as Zitszy featuring a good mix of old and new:

Alternate Movie Poster of the Day
Ari Aster has stated that his sophomore feature, Midsommar, was influenced by the classic movie The Wizard of Oz. To drive home the connection, a fan created a terrific alternate poster for the horror film modeled after one of the original one-sheets for the musical L. Frank Baum adaptation:

Classic Movie Trailer of the Day
The documentary Fiddler: A Miracle of Miracles, which is about the Broadway show Fiddler on the Roof and its screen adaptation, opens this Friday. So let’s look back at the movie of the musical. Mashup of the Day
Two of this year’s biggest blockbusters went head to head over the summer, but what if their characters literally faced each other on screen? Here is a fan-made crossover between Avengers: Endgame and Godzilla: King of the Monsters, introducing Godzilla to the battle between the Marvel heroes and Thanos:
Superhero Crossover of the Day
What if Avengers: Endgame instead introduced a hero from another franchise in that same battle? Adeel of Steel has some fun with the idea of a DC and Marvel crossover with this video mashup that inserts Henry Cavill as Superman, from the DC Extended Universe, into the fight against Thanos:
Cosplay of the Day
One of the big questions at the end of Avengers: Endgame is, what happened to Gamora? Well, here she is — well, it’s a fan cosplaying as the character anyway, meeting up with fellow Marvel Cinematic Universe pals Star-Lord and Thor while attending AnimeFest2019:
