Entertainment Weekly has released the cover for its next issue, which boasts the world's first official look at Quentin Tarantino's next movie, The Hateful Eight. And not only do we get to see a three of the film's eight grisly and gritty stars, but the cover also promises it's the "meanest, grittiest, and deadliest movie of the year."

And since this is Tarantino we're talking about, we won't be surprised in the slightest if it were true. The cover photo reveals Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell and Jennifer Jason Leigh, and that fearless trio will be joined by...

Tim Roth
Michael Madsen
Walton Goggins
Bruce Dern
Demián Bichir
James Parks
Zoe Bell

As for the plot, the movie is set after the American Civil War and involves eight strangers, each with their own agenda, who find themselves holed up in the same bar during a blizzard. And as you can probably guess from the poster (and Tarantino's history), some of that white snow is probably going to end up pretty red by the time the credits roll.

The Hateful Eight is expected to hit theaters the fall of 2015.
