Bond 25 plot revealed: As production on the next James Bond movie kicks off, the cast was officially confirmed to include Rami Malek as the villain plus Captain Marvel’s Lashanna Lynch while Phoebe Waller-Bridge was also confirmed as a co-writer. Also, an official plot synopsis revealed 007’s latest mission involves the rescue of a kidnapped scientist. Read more about the movie, still only referred to as Bond 25 here.

Leonardo DiCaprio to work with Guillermo del Toro: Oscar-winning actor Leonardo DiCaprio works with all the great directors, and now he’s adding The Shape of Water helmer Guillermo del Toro to the list for a remake of the 1947 film noir Nightmare Alley, which is based on the novel of the same name. Ben Affleck to direct and star in Ghost Army: With Batman behind him, Ben Affleck is ready to direct another movie, and this time he’s bringing a true story about a secret World War II mission to the big screen. According to Deadline, Affleck will also star in the drama, which is titled Ghost Army and sounds right up the alley for the helmer of Argo.

Peter Farrelly to direct The Greatest Beer Run Ever: After going solo to helm Green Book, which won the Oscar for Best Picture this year, Peter Farrelly has revealed his next directorial effort sans brother Bobby. Variety reports he will helm an adaption of The Greatest Beer Run Ever, a true story of best friends set during the Vietnam War.

James Wan and Gary Dauberman to make Salem’s Lot: Another Stephen King adaptation is headed to the big screen, this one care of some of the major players behind the Conjuring Universe. Per The Hollywood Reporter, Annabelle and Annabelle: Creation writer Gary Dauberman, who also penned the new It movies based on King’s book, will script the vampire tale Salem’s Lot, which he and James Wan will produce. Wan is also working on an adaptation of King’s Tommyknockers.
