We've waited for a few months now to hear a casting announcement from Marvel as to who would be playing the lead role in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy and now, at long last we have an answer.
Pratt beat out a handful of actors that Marvel had narrowed down on a shortlist for the Peter Quill role. Quill is the leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy. We can expect a few more casting announcements in the coming weeks as the James Gunn helmed flick preps for filming.
In the meanwhile, the big question for Marvel fans is if Pratt's casting will include an appearance somewhere in Iron Man 3, which is still filming. Odds are he'll turn up somewhere as Marvel looks to launch the Guardians movie next summer.
Time will tell as Iron Man 3 arrives in theaters on May 3. For now, sound off on Pratt's casting. Like? Dislike? Who should fill out the rest of the Guardians cast?
