Ben Affleck would probably like to forget some of his acting credits from the past few years. (After the whole "Bennifer" escapade and film choices like Jersey Girl, Gigli and Daredevil, he was fortunate to land a memorable supporting role in Hollywoodland, but those great roles were far and few between.) Let’s just say his best bud Matt Damon got lucky with much better parts.
But with Ben’s directorial debut of Gone Baby Gone and with the help of his younger bro Casey, he could very well make a comeback.

Gone Baby Gone may live long on the list of the year’s best films, thanks in part to Casey’s stirring performance. For some moviegoers, Casey has been under the radar while Ben basked in the sunlight, snagging snippets of roles in his big brother’s movies such as Good Will Hunting and Chasing Amy. You’ll also remember him from the Ocean’s franchise, The Last Kiss with Zach Braff and The Assassination of Jesse James By the Coward Robert Ford with Brad Pitt, which is still in theaters.
Gone Baby Gone, adapted from Dennis Lehane’s Boston-based novel, centers on the case of a missing 4-year-old girl. Casey plays the private investigator who, alongside Morgan Freeman and Michelle Monaghan, tries to find her.
What do you think? Will Ben be taken seriously behind the camera as Casey takes center stage?
