One of the rumors making the blog rounds is that Patrick Swayze, who's currently battling pancreatic cancer, may be up for a part in Point Break 2 if he's healthy enough. Being a surfer, and a huge fan of Swayze and his surf action classic, I think this would be great news if it turns out to be real, and he's at the point health-wise that he can do it.

Image It may be Indiana Jones week, but huge props are due to Swayze, too, as a premier tough guy in films like The Outsiders, Red Dawn, Point Break and Road House. A fully-recovered, fully-healthy Swayze in any project would be terrific...now how exactly his Bodhi character would have survived the monster wave at the end of Break is anyone's guess...but we're game for the answers...and while you're at it, casting gods, bring back Keanu Reeves--at least in a cameo--as agent Johnny Utah.

Since Reeves' Speed director Jan de Bont is set to direct, maybe there's room for one more casting addition? From what we've seen online, the script by original Point Break writer W. Peter Iliff follows a younger agent as he pursues Bodhi's gang of surfer/robbers all across Singapore. In our minds, though, who's to say Utah hasn't joined up with Bodhi/Swayze and company for the endless summer? Perhaps? Maybe?
