With Spider-Man 4 heading into production early next year, we're going to be hearing about the film's casting a whole lot in the next month or so – especially since they're already meeting with actors and actresses for those unspecified villain roles. Mania.com has reported (via some inside source) that producers have already met with Rachel McAdams regarding the role of Black Cat in Spider-Man 4 – which, if true, would mean that Sam Raimi is definitely including more than one villain in his fourth installment, contrary to earlier reports.

Similar to Batman's Catwoman, Black Cat (aka Felicia Day) is a cat burglar and sometimes crime fighter who grew pretty close to Spider-Man and felt a sort of kinship to him since, to a certain degree, they were both misunderstood costumed avengers. Rachel McAdams seems like a pretty good fit for the role, though I'd expect that she's just one of several females being looked at for Black Cat if, in fact, the character is part of the sequel.

I wouldn't be surprised if Megan Fox's name was thrown into the hat before it was all said and done, seeing as the gal loves doing comic book films and she'd be perfect for that sort of role. I also like Natalie Portman, though her role in Marvel's Thor probably prevents her from starring in the new Spidey movie.
