Before he was an icon, Bob Dylan was just another young man with a guitar seeking to make his name in New York. A Complete Unknown follows Dylan (Golden Globe-nominated Timothée Chalamet) through the folk scene of the early 1960s West Village as he encounters figures like Pete Seeger (fellow Golden Globe nominee Edward Norton), Joan Baez (Monica Barbaro) and Johnny Cash (Boyd Holbrook); falls in love with Sylvie Russo (Elle Fanning); and develops his own artistry as he approaches a crossroads that could change the culture forever.
