All right, so it's not Arnold Schwarzenegger rockin' out his trademark leather jacket and black sunglasses, but it is photographic proof that we're getting a new Terminator reboot and that the movie -- due out on July 1, 2015 -- is now officially in production. Skydance Productions posted this photo of the first slate for Terminator: Genesis, along with the following teaser message:

::Reboot initiating in 03m00s

Alan Taylor (Thor: The Dark World) is directing, with a story that will apparently jump to various points along the former Terminator timeline, featuring the same characters from the previous set of movies, only they're being played by different people (with the exception of Schwarzenegger, who's returning to his iconic role, though it'll be different and expect his appearance to change throughout the movie).

Here's what Schwarzenegger had to say about it not long ago:

"But Terminator is going to have the exact same feel. The way it reads, it has the same feel of Terminator 2. It's big. There's hard-core action and it has some really great visual effects in there, but not over the top. It's not a Thor type of movie, even though it's the same director. It has good special effects, but just enough to say, 'Wow, where did that come from? How did they do that?'"

Other cast members include Emilia Clarke as Sarah Connor, Jason Clarke as Sarah's son, John Connor, and Jai Courtney as John's future dad, Kyle Reese. All three characters were featured in the original movies, though it's not known how they'll factor into the reboot. J.K. Simmons, Dayo Okeniyi, Byung-hun Lee, Michael Gladis, Sandrine Holt and Laeta Kalogridis also star.

As promised, Terminator is back. What are you hoping to see from the new reboot?

Note: The "R.I.P. Sarah" at the top of the slate relates to Sarah Jones, the 27-year-old camera assistant who tragically lost her life on the set of Midnight Rider earlier this year.
