The search for Sarah Connor appears to have been narrowed down to two actresses.
Deadline is reporting that Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke and Short Term 12's Brie Larson are the remaining contenders for the role.
The list of potential actresses for the role had also included About Time's Margot Robbie and a fourth unnamed actress.
Clarke appears to be the current frontrunner for the role given her history of working with director Alan Taylor on numerous episodes of Game of Thrones.
Casting is still looking for a new John Connor and Kyle Reese. Production is concentrating on casting Sarah before any other roles as it appears her character will be at the center of this planned trilogy.
The first Terminator reboot will hit theaters July 2, 2015.
