March was certainly the most successful movie month of 2013 thus far, led by the blockbuster box office of Oz The Great and Powerful ($177 mil domestic, $356 mil worldwide).
As we prepare to jump into the mixed bag of movies for April, it's time once again to sound off with your most anticipated movie.
April feels like the final month for studios to clear out their schedules in advance of the summer movie season. To that end, we have a various genres hitting theaters from horror with Evil Dead, comedy with The Big Wedding, Scary Movie 5 and Michael Bay's Pain and Gain and sci-fi adventure with Jurassic Park 3D and Tom Cruise in Oblivion. There's even a sports biopic with the Jackie Robinson flick 42 due out as the baseball season gets underway.
Indies will be in full force as well. The much-lauded thriller Mud starring Matthew McConaughey releases along with Oscar nominee Kon-Tiki and Danny Boyle's Trance. The star-studded thriller Disconnect starring Jason Bateman, Paula Patton, Alexander Skarsgard and Abbie Cornish also arrives mid-month. Terrence Malick's To the Wonder starring Ben Affleck, Javier Bardem and Rachel McAdams will also get a limited release.
