The first official photo of Henry Cavill used in conjunction with the upcoming Superman movie has arrived online in the form of an Entertainment Weekly cover. In it, Cavill is looking cool, calm and collected, while wearing a leather jacket and a grey t-shirt with the iconic: "S" emblem close to his chest. He’s a guy who looks ready to take on the Man of Steel, but are fans ready to support him?

Henry CavillIn his first interview since landing the coveted role of Clark Kent/Superman in Zack Snyder’s upcoming film, Cavill talks about how worried he was that people would actually take him seriously. "All I could think was: Oh, god. They’re going to look at me and go 'He's not Superman. Not a chance,’ he said. "The actor inside me was going: You’re not ready! You’re not ready!"
Meanwhile, Snyder admitted that they auditioned actors by putting them in a replica of the Superman suit that was worn by Christopher Reeve, and part of what sold them on Cavill was that they didn’t laugh at him. "If you can put on that suit and pull it off that’s an awesome achievement… He walked out, and no one laughed. Other actors put that suit on, and it’s a joke, even if they’re great actors. Henry put it on, and he exuded this kind of crazy-calm confidence that just made me go ‘Wow.’ Okay: This was Superman.’"
Sure, it matters what Snyder thinks, but ultimately what matters most is what you think. So check out the image of Cavill and vote below on whether you think he’s a good fit for Superman.
