Terms of Endearment: Oprah Winfrey will star in a new version of Terms of Endearment. Lee Daniels is in talks to direct; the two previously worked together on The Butler (above). The 1983 Academy Award-winning version, based on a novel by Larry McMurtry, starred Shirley MacLaine and Debra Winger as mother and daughter in a family drama; Winfrey will play the role originated by MacLaine. St. Agatha: Darren Lynn Bousman, best known for helming three installments of the Saw franchise (Saw II, above), will direct St. Agatha, described as a female-driven psychological horror movie. No other story details have been revealed; production begins this week in Atlanta. [Deadline]

Bad Girl Gone: Music star Iggy Azalea (above) and her production company have acquired screen rights to Bad Girl Gone. Temple Mathew's novel, due to be published in August, revolves around a young woman who has recently died; she "must solve her own murder in order to escape purgatory."
