Underworld 5: Kate Beckinsale will reprise her role as the vampire Selene in the fifth entry in the Underworld series. She has starred in three of the first four films in the series. War of the Planet of the Apes: The battle between apes and humans erupts into war, according to a report that claims War of the Planet of the Apes will be the title of the next movie in the famed franchise. Scheduled for release on July 24, 2017, it follows on the success of Rise of the Planet of the Apes and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. The latter of those was helmed by Matt Reeves, who will reprise his duties as cowriter and director for War. [Collider]
Shanghai Dawn: If a rumor proves to be true, Jackie Chan and Owen Wilson will be reuniting for Shanghai Dawn, the third installment in an action-comedy series that began with Shanghai Noon in 2000 and continued with Shanghai Knights in 2003. The first two films were set in the Old West and 19th century London, respectively; the new project is said to be searching for a writer. [Tracking Board]
Minions Trailer: A new Minions trailer follows the adorable creatures as they stumble through history, constantly in search of a new super-villain to follow, until they alight upon Scarlet Overkill (voiced by Sandra Bullock) and her husband Herb (voiced by Jon Hamm) in London.
