Office Christmas Party / Spotlight

Game Night: Jason Bateman (Office Christmas Party, above) was touted to star in and produce the ensemble comedy Game Night back in 2013. Now Bateman has formalized his commitment and Rachel McAdams (Spotlight, above) has been recruited to star opposite him. Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley (Vacation) wrote the latest draft of the screenplay and have been set to direct. The movie follows a group of couples who get caught up in a real-life murder mystery. [Variety]

 

Universal Soldier: Regeneration

Black Water: Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren will star in Black Water. The two stars previously appeared together in Universal Soldier, Universal Soldier: Regeneration (above) and The Expendables 2, among others. The upcoming action thriller revolves around "a deep cover operative (Van Damme) who awakens to find himself imprisoned in a CIA black site on a submarine." [THR]

 

American Ultra

The Tracking of a Russian Spy: Nima Nourizadeh (American Ultra, above; Project X) will direct The Tracking of a Russian Spy. It's based on a novella by Mitch Swenson, inspired by his real-life romance with a mysterious Russian woman he searched for after she disappeared suddenly, right after 10 Russian Americans were arrested and charged with spying. The Founder

The Founder Trailer: Michael Keaton stars in The Founder as a struggling salesman named Ray Kroc. In the 1950s, he meets two brothers (Nick Offerman, John Carroll Lynch) who own a popular burger joint known as McDonald's. The rest is history, as depicted in a new trailer for the movie, which opens in theaters on January 20. [Movieclips]
