What was originally a rumor now appears to have some legitimacy behind it, as Mark Wahlberg has announced that he will officially re-team with director David O. Russell on an adaptation of the video game Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. Not only that, but he could be joined by two guys we haven't seen team up together in a film in a good while: Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci.

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune

The game follows an adventurer named Nathan Drake (to be played by Wahlberg), who's said to be a descendent of the famous explorer Sir Francis Drake. The game follows Drake as he searches for the lost treasure of El Dorado with his criminal mentor Sully and journalist Elena Fisher. The film, which Wahlberg described to MTV as being "insane," looks to be changing this up a bit since De Niro and Pesci would play Wahlberg's father and uncle, respectively.
