At this point it seems like James Cameron is just stalling with daily sound bites about everything ranging from his plans for his Avatar sequels, what a fourth Avatar film would be about and so on. Today, Cameron's sound bites include his thoughts on Prometheus and his movie-going habits over on Movies.com and chatting with Huffington Post about wanting to direct Jurassic Park back in the early '90s.

Cameron reveals that at one point, he was hoping to direct Jurassic Park, but got beat out by Steven Spielberg in the bidding process.

"I tried to buy the book rights and he beat me to it by a few hours. When I saw the film, I realized that I was not the right person to make the film, he was. Because he made a dinosaur movie for kids, and mine would have been Aliens with dinosaurs, and that wouldn't have been fair. Dinosaurs are for 8-year-olds. We can all enjoy it, too, but kids get dinosaurs and they should not have been excluded for that. His sensibility was right for that film, I'd have gone further, nastier, much nastier."

We should note that Jurassic Park is gearing up to be re-released in theaters next summer with post-conversion 3D.

Are you glad Spielberg (allegedly) beat Cameron to the phone and closed the deal or would you have rather seen this Aliens-esque vision of Jurassic Park Cameron was cooking up?
