Their friendship is threatened, however, by their shared inability to distinguish between what is real and what is imaginary. The movie opens on April 18 via IFC Films.
For a movie revolving around a jinn, a mythological spirit creature that can possess humans, we were hoping for more horror elements to be played up, but a new trailer instead positions Jinn as a superhero-type adventure. Still, there are hints of supernatural thrills that remain, enough to make us want to see the movie when it comes to theaters on April 4.

Then his young daughter starts seeing unsettling things that defy easy answers. Sony will release the new movie from Scott Derrickson (Sinister) on July 2.
