That question rang across social media when Mark Hamill's familiar face was (apparently) not seen in the new trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, though some have speculated that he's in an earlier teaser as a hooded figure (above). Director J.J. Abrams says "these are good questions to be asking. I can't wait for you to find out the answers," teasing it's "no accident' that Skywalker is missing from the footage that's been revealed so far. [Heat Vision]

Truth in Advertising: Ryan Reynolds is in final negotiations to star in Truth in Advertising. The movie is described as a comedy-drama about an ad man who begins to question his choice of profession after his boss wants him to cancel a Christmas vacation to work on a new campaign. Roger Michell (Notting Hill) is set to direct; John Kenney wrote the script, based on his own 2013 novel. [Deadline]

 

The Monopolists / Billion Dollar Monopoly Swindle

The Monopolists: An origin movie about popular board game Monopoly is on its way to the big screen. Howard A. Rodman will write the screenplay, based on two nonfiction books (see above). The game was originally invented in the early 20th century; a somewhat different version was first sold commercially by Parker Brothers in 1935 and become immensely popular. [Deadline]
