Late last year, we announced the launch of mobile ticketing with Regal Cinemas. Available at more than 1,000 Regal Entertainment Group screens, the paperless ticketing features a mobile bar code that is sent to movie patron's phones.

Announced this week at the annual Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the feature will expand to include 1,000 additional screens in the near future.

Since its inception, paperless ticketing has really taken off, with as many as 50% of our consumers using the Mobile Ticket system where available.

The program is aimed at convenience, allowing moviegoers to purchase their tickets in advance and bypass box office windows and kiosks. Mobile Ticket works with all mobile carriers, and does not require a smart phone or additional convenience fee.

Mobile ticketing is currently offered at select theaters owned by Regal Entertainment Group, Reading Cinemas and Hollywood Theaters. Find out where a participating theater is near you.

Have you used the Mobile Ticketing feature in the past? If not, are you curious to try it?
