Jon Hamm Won’t Play Superman

Jon Hamm as SupermanWhen news regarding the next Superman movie started traveling around the internet, one of the early fan favorites to take on the role of Supes was Jon Hamm, of Mad Men fame. While a little old for the part (he’s 40), there was still hope that the new film would feature an aging Superman and not someone in their twenties.

Unfortunately for those rooting for Hamm, the actor won’t be taking on the Man of Steel in Zack Snyder’s upcoming movie. Speaking to MTV, he calls it a ''young man’s game'' and confirms he won’t be suiting up. Oh well. Now it’s onto the other gents rumored to be up for the part, including Armie Hammer (The Social Network) and Matthew Goode (Watchmen).

Spider-Man Will Have Web Shooters

In the original Spider-Man comic books, Peter Parker manufactures his own web shooters to go along with his new Spidey powers, however in Sam Raimi’s trilogy, the director didn’t think a high school student could create something that advanced and so he gave Spider-Man the power to shoot webs out of his wrists following the spider bite.

In the latest image of Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man, however, fans noticed that it appeared he had web shooters on his wrists, which would be more in line with the comics. While on the Golden Globes red carpet, Emma Stone confirmed to MTV that, yes, he’s wearing ''a device'' but wouldn’t say any more.

Storm Shadow Returning for ‘G.I. Joe 2’

Though we don’t have any concrete info about G.I. Joe 2 (apart from the fact that Stephen Sommers won’t be back to direct and that the Zombieland writers are in charge of the script), we do now know that Lee Byung-hun will return to play Storm Shadow in the sequel, which is slated to hit theaters during the summer of 2012 (most likely in 3D).
