It's been a busy day on the fanboy front. The big news, of course, is Robert Downey Jr. signing a new contract for two more Avengers movies. There are plenty of other things going on, though, so let's jump right in.

Doctor Strange Villains Revealed?

If we're a month away from Comic-Con, it means Latino-Review is going to start dropping Marvel movie "scoops" and sure enough, today the site revealed "exclusively with 100% confirmation" who the villains in Marvel's Phase Three solo film Doctor Strange will be.

The site claims Strange arch nemesis Dormammu will be one of the antagonists with Karl Mordo being a supporting villain. The report also states that extra-dimensional creatures known as Giant Mindless One will appear in "a huge action sequence."

Latino-Review has a pretty strong batting average when it comes to Marvel scoops, although they reported a Planet Hulk story arc forming back in February. Marvel will likely confirm/deny the latest report at Comic-Con next month. Until then, we're likely to hear more from the Latino-Review folks over the next few weeks.

New Dates for X-Men, Assassin's Creed and More; Independence Day 2 Gets Release Date

Robert Rodriguez' films have had a tough couple of days. Yesterday, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For was shuffled off to August 24, 2014 when it became clear that the sequel was not going to make its original October 4 release date.

Today, Rodriguez's other film Machete Kills was bumped to that vacated October 4 release date and will now be up against Alfonso Cuaron's award contender Gravity.

Meanwhile, Fox swapped release dates between X-Men: Days of Future Past and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, bumped Assassin's Creed back and assigned 2015 release dates for Independence Day 2 and the film adaptation of best-selling novel Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. Here's the full Fox slate:

X-Men: Days of Future Past: May 23, 2014

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes: July 18, 2014

Assassin's Creed: June 19, 2015

Independence Day 2: July 3, 2015

Peregrine's Home for Peculiars: July 31, 2015

That means we're getting the X-Men ensemble two months earlier than previously scheduled! What do you think of the new release dates? Are you interested in an Independence Day sequel? Share your thoughts below!
