Now that the Oscar buzz has subsided, we can turn our attention to our next favorite time of the cinematic year … the summer blockbusters!

Multiple news items tied to upcoming and distant-future superhero tent poles broke online while we were watching Ben Affleck claim his second Oscar. Here’s what you might have missed.

- A second trailer for Star Trek Into Darkness is supposed to drop in theaters sometime soon. And while we're not sure what movie it will be attached to, the Web site ComicBookMovie says that the clip has been "classified," and that it runs just over a minute. That's odd for a second trailer, which normally gives away more of the plot. But then again, Trek director J.J. Abrams loves his secrets, so we might not get much more until the movie opens in May.

Here was the latest trailer, to refresh your memory. Keep your eyes open for the next one, which is on its way:

- Russell Crowe, who was in Los Angeles to perform at the Oscars with the cast of Les Miserables, went on The Tonight Show where he spoke with Jay Leno about playing Superman’s father, Jor-El, in this summer’s Man of Steel. He also revealed his own action figure from the movie, then encouraged audience members to “make sure you buy one. Buy two!”

- The Amazing Spider-Man sequel continues to film in New York City. Up to now, director Marc Webb has been Tweeting cryptic clues from a safe, closed-set location. But the production has moved onto the streets of Manhattan, where fans and onlookers are snapping great photos of the new-look costume in action. These are from the UK Daily Mail, which also nabbed the first shot of Shailene Woodley as love interest Mary Jane Watson. Face it, tiger. You hit the jackpot:

- While Warner Bros. tries to figure out how to answer The Avengers with a Justice League movie of their own, Guillermo Del Toro tells Total Film (via Collider) that he’s going to pitch a Justice League Dark movie to Warner and D.C., and that he even has a writer on board ready to go.

- And finally, James McAvoy’s getting ready to shoot Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Days of Future Past, though he tells Empire that he doesn’t expect to share any scenes with Patrick Stewart’s Charles Xavier. “I don’t think there’s any future self talking to past self,” the actor tells Empire. Missed opportunity.
